OK - there are underlying inside themes in this thread, and it stops right here.

For the rest of you, I will provide a succinct bit of background information. I can completely sympathize with Mike, Rob and Bill whom in the past, had significant amounts of their research that they shared online with other like-mind collectors (just like this place) plagiarized by a for-profit publication in the US (who shall remain unnamed), with zero acknowledgements or credit even given. That has been a deep wound that still festers a bit to this day (I believe Bill got banned from CCF twice in the past for expressing his anger over this issue). Was Mike's comment harsh? Yes. Was it unfair? Yes, given we have never seen any published works from CV. However, some of us in the know with history here also saw it more as a reminder of the past... the earlier post by me, and Rob, strongly eluded to that.

I would ask everyone to stick to the theme of this thread being about the variety and coin itself. If I see another post otherwise, I will not hesitate to lock this thread.

CV - you should get your hands on the 1942 RCM Mint Report, to see how many reverse dies were used to strike the NFLD 1941 5c coins.
