That is a filled die error. It could be filled with grease, buffing compound, dust, or any number of things, but it is most commonly referred to as grease.

, clogged die. OldJoe, I'm pretty sure you have a doubled mintmark 1960D-1MM-038 @ http://www.coppercoins.com. think I see a split upper serif and something at 5 o'clock. pic just not clear enough for my old eyes!

Thanks Crazyb0. I can't get to the 038 error, anything past the first page (001-005) gives me a "not found" error. Don't know if the website is having problems or what.

Note on the '0' of the date where it is weakest. Not how the device widens in that area. A real clue as to what happened. The thinner part of the device has some grease in it and it only struck the lower wider part of the device. The '6' looks like some areas were completely full preventing all of the digit to disappear.

OldJoe, go up to the bar where the full link is and click it. The last digit will be a 0. Delete the 0 and put in a 1 and you will see the next page. Put in a 2 and so on to see each page. I have the same problem you have with not being able to click through normally, but the pages are there you just have to enter the link manually.

That worked tropicalbats, thanks. I could not use the link Crazyb0 gave me, I had to google the error number + LMC to even get to the first page of errors. The website must be having issues. Thanks again for the help.

Or at the almost top of page in the white area click on 'coppercoins home' link then towards the left corner of that page click on 'die variety search' link highlighted in blue then on this page enter your coin info and everything will come up...ive never tried it tropicals way maybe its easier I'm not sure?

Here is the best place to enter to find varieties on the CC website. It is on the home page. From there you'll find the screen to select the date-mint-variety you are looking for.

Thanks again coop. I must have been navigating the site with Slamnbass' directions when you posted. I just used the link you mentioned and found the information.

Could it be "something" like 019,I think I see something in that area? Or am I just seeing things that are not there? John1
