Just won this coin at auction. I wasn't really expecting to get it with such a low bid. I'll have to closely inspect it in hand to make sure it's solid for the grade. I think it has nice eye appeal, and I like these coins undipped with their natural toning. Do you think this is a quality coin and a good buy?

You got it for the right price. A lot of the other coins at that grade range are overpriced based on the coin's mintage.
Rest in Peace

Great looking coin at a fantastic price. I love the peripheral toning. Really a good buy. I bought a 66 bright about three years ago and my price was closer to five bills instead of four. Congratulations.

Lovely indeed if the eye appeal works for you. Greysheet 'Bid' for an MS66 example is $540 .... so you did just fine on price.

I'm going to have to download an updated copy of the greysheet. Are commemoratives still really going down? I feel like they should have bottomed out by now.
