Collectors can be very obsessive . . If they want something bad enough. Then they get into a bidding war at an auction . . The seller must be very happy.
Granted there are semi key and scarcer dates there.....there is nothing to justify the price tag. Granted if there was a 1877 or 1909 S in the lot then it'd make it more worthwhile. Still the person who bought this could be starting a set and figured they'd knock out many of the harder dates in one shot; which is the case here for many later 60's and 70's dates that are lower mintage.
