It needs to be turned 90° clockwise and looks to be a Spanish Colonial Cob Reales. Whether it's genuine or not, I don't know and they are faked quite a bit. What does the obverse look like and what is the weight?

Yep, it's a fairly standard mass-produced "pirate coin". Do a Google search for "replica pirate coins" and you'll find numerous places selling this exact coin. Here's one.
