They one look like it was dipped in acid. The difference? Note the edge of the rim on the coin is gone. This is because the edge is exposed on three sides. So it disappear first. The acid removes an even amount of thickness on the coin. Thus the design still appears weakened. Also note the etched away look on the surface of the coin. A sure sign of acid treatment. A Dryer Coin usually shows the rims rolled over. This does not.
