Finally broke my duck for the year, Unfortunately purchases will be less often due to the Emperor I am collecting being a little more painful on the budget

New-Addition-Arrived,-Macrinus-Provincial.

Macrinus, Moesia Inferior, Nikopolis Ad Istrum

Obverse - Laureate head R
Reverse - Male figure ( river god ? )seated L with Branch & Reeds, water pouring from upturned vessel behind.

There are several of this " type " issued for Macrinus but this one is more of a rarity than the others, I can only find 1 example and that is the " Wildwinds " listing.
Best of all is the fact that it is struck from the same dies as the Wildwinds example, an exact match

For an emperor the was in office for a very short time a lot of coin types were struck for him, especially in the provinces. Nice coin.
Rest in Peace
