With the amount of material missing, and the way the reverse folds around w/o rim, I'd say album planchet.

Yes. This is an error. It looks like a major, pre-strike (de)lamination. It could be some other form of pre-strike plachet defect though.

@Crazyb0, what is an album planchet? I have not heard that term before.

Errorcoins, I'll be glad when I can afford a new laptop so I can again post pix and not have this CRAZY tablet keep correcting what I type! Was supposed to be "a bum...", must have missed a space!
