Quite the beard indeed..but I would need bigger pics to ID it properly..

At this size ,..I don't see anything other than the added beard from a probable planchet flaw or collapsing die....

Still very cool indeed..
Rest in Peace

Tried to increase size and enhance photo
but this is the best I could come up with.
Guess we will have to wait for larger and
clearer photos from OP.

Hello all,
As my first post, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is currently CanadianChills (Per living in the fun parts of Ontario) I've been collecting coins since I was young and still currently compared to some veteran members here. I love Canadian coins especially high grade coins from the Victorian era and all Canadian silver and gold! I stack as well! Anyways I look forward to reading and participating in all these discussions and topics!
On to the post;
Today a browsing all my classifieds for coins and I saw this as about "Canada's first error coin" this peaked my interest. As the pics are linked down below. I looked at with awe, the ad stated it was a planchet error, but could it possibly be a portion of a Cud. Also the rim looks like it was dinged up a bit. Again I'm sure he wants thousands if not hundreds of thousands. The ad stated best offer. What do you all think?

Seen the same classified ad. Thought asking price way to high, told him best of luck for that price.

Forum Dad was able to combine these as you suggested. Thank you for the note, JimmyD!
