1970 large date the mint mark looks odd it looks like the top image has no serif and the serif belongs to another mm under the first I changed focus so you could see the depth of the highest mm and then the serif and then the field . These seem to be the toughest for me to try and figure out if it's an RPM or just took a hit and mashed it out .I looked on coppercoins they don't have this but they have three varieties without images or markers . Thanks !

Can you get the MM and the field in focus?

Not at the same time the mm is raised pretty high . If you need I may be able to get a pic a little farther away and get them both in focus at the same time. These pics are on 100x mag I have 10x 15x 25x 40x and this . Let me know which you would like for me to use .

I see at least three contact marks on the upper loop and alot of crud clogging the lower loop so I would say you just have a damaged and dirty mintmark.

Thanks biokemist6 ! These are the hardest for me I guess because they are so small they are most susceptible to damage and they always fool me , but I'm learning a little each time .

Well you should start a thread with a question on what is hard for you on RPMs. that is the best way to get an answer. (The dumbest question is the one that was not asked)

Thanks coincollector2000! Coop I guess one of the biggest things for me is the fact that I don't see a lot of mm I don't know if it because I'm closer to philly than the other mints but probably 98% of what I see is no mm coins and when I get one I look too closely at it . I look on copper coins and the Lincoln Cent pages first and I see a possible marker and then after 15 minutes of trying to figure it out I put it on here and ask for opinions and I learn a little each time . I thank you all for sharing your vast knowledge of coins with a beginner ! Sometimes a second set of eyes makes a huge difference .

You have it made. I see about .05% Philly coins here. When I do get one, they are pretty well mauled by that time.

I've done that, but actually bought and not traded. They shipping is too much to make if profitable to do exchanges for me.
