Hi,
I hope I have the correct forum for these coins, and I hope that it's OK that the coins have been made into jewellery. I bought this necklace as a present at an auction, and paid next to nothing for it. There are 14 coins on the necklace, all showing varying wear and strikes so I'm 'reasonably' confident that they are original. I believe that they are coins from the Mughal Empire period (but may be wrong). As there are so many of them I imagine that they are common examples. They measure approximately 21mm in diameter. If anyone can help then I would be most grateful.
Can anyone identify what they are and if genuine from what period?
Am I correct in thinking that they're silver?
They have been soldered onto rings so I imagine any value will be reduced.
Many thanks
