good afternoon have not posted in a while nothing really good to post about until today. found this silver color 1986 LMC. First I thought plated but I really dont think so. however that being said I do not have a way to weight it but it definitly lighter then a regular 1986 cent. Any thoughts or ideas would be great. I was reading about total lamination but not sure if I understand it right..

Thanks for taking a look

Could be missing the copper plating. I think I see some cartwheel luster and no sign of copper. Need coop to confirm.

I don't see the normal plated over zinc dust. Also search for copper on the edges of the rim and devices. But this might be a real missing plating error. Check to if you see any?

Im hopeful on this one it does look legit if so nice find but the weight wont help anyway as the plating difference is only .05gram and the tolerance I think is close to .2grams

If this truly is missing the copper layer does it hold any kind of premium? Enough to have it sent away or just something to hold on to

Check ebay sold values. I don't think they go for a whole lot so no need to send in for slabbing.
