I'm organizing a collection that I have not seen for about 30 years. I'm trying keep the coins safe and use space in a reasonable manner.

At some point, I bought 4 framed "twentieth century coins" items. The coins are nothing special.

I'm wondering if I should try to sell them as as, remove the coins and sell the frames, remove the coins and throw away the frames?

I've attached a picture of one of them. What would you do with these?

If it were me, I would research the value of each of the individual coins to ensure there's no rarities here. If they are as you say, nothing special, I would try to sell them as is in the frame. List the opening bid at the bottom price you're willing to sell. If they don't sell, then you could consider breaking up the set and sell the coins and frames individually . .
Rest in Peace

I'd just add up the value of the coins and add a dollar or two for the frame and save myself the bother of taking them apart.

On second thought, I don't think I'd add that extra dollar or two.

Heh.

I haven't thought of a minimum value. I don't really need the space or the money, but I also don't care about the item.

What is the reality for a valuation? Given a fair grade, and finding some consistent values online, what percentage of the "value" for an average condition (say VF-20 or less) non-special mintage should one expect?

Do you suppose 100% of the value of the coins is a reasonable asking price?

It seems whenever I want to buy something (anything, not just coins - I have far more experience with comic books) that, oh, my, is it rare. They book value is $80, but we are so lucky to even have one available, I must have $110.

On the other hand, when I want to sell something, unfortunately 119 of them just came in yesterday, and they're not moving. They guide says $50, but given current market, it is a stretch to pay you $28.

Wow, that rambled. I hope the point came across?

Don't forget shipping. Even if the frame is light, you'll need to find a box and it'll cost a bit to ship safely.... since you aren't in a rush, I'd list it on the high end with a buy it now/best offer option and see what happens

Yes, I would try a BIN with a best offer as an option.

And I understand your comment about values!
