Hey guys. I've just introduced myself in that section of the forum. I'll be updating my bio shortly but feel free to head over there to see what I am all about!
My grandmother passed away a couple months ago. She had a moderate coin collection (around 200pc) to be split between the grandchildren. We decided the best way to divvy up the lot would be to turn our phones off and pick one by one until the pile was gone. Everyone walked away happy.
My first pick was a small envelope that had "10c 1893 Round Top" written along the top, with "Emma Sanders" on the bottom. If the name is familiar, my grandmother wrote an amazing cookbook that circulated around for quite some time.
I had no idea what I picked up until I started researching the coins lately. Being into metal detecting, I usually let the pile of silver stack up before I sit down and research what I've found.
This RT looks to be the real thing. I feel its an OBV6 though I am no expert.
Let me know what you guys think from the pictures. Ill read about how to send this coin for grading, for I feel someones asked before and there is probably a detailed writeup about it somewhere here.
Thanks again for all your help over the years. Enjoy the pics!
