Hi everyone!

This forum has been a great resource for me recently so I figured I would register! Here's a little of my collecting story:

I mainly collect US coins and have been since I was about nine years old when my grandparents got me a couple proof sets as Christmas gifts. Up through high school they used to take me to a local coin shop for my birthday every year. I used to search my parents' pocket change every day through my elementary/middle school years! For the past eight to ten years I haven't really been actively collecting except for a few sprints of collecting here and there. I have almost completed my Lincoln Cent collection, recently adding several semi-key dates. I also enjoy Canadian coins with two of my favorite coins I own being Canadian; 1984 Toronto Dollar and 2012 Farewell to the Penny 1/2 oz silver. Having said that, I'm a little disappointed with this year's 150th coins :( I recently started a Canadian small cent collection and want to start coin roll hunting (probably to start a Jefferson nickel album).

Howdy, you already sound much more organized than I.

I love free money, from the street, from chairs, from coin returns, well, you get the picture. You can improve your odds with a metal detector. Or a gun, but that is frowned upon in polite society.

What else ya collect?

@Parklane64 Lol! Other than coins? From 2011-2015 I was really into Blu-ray special editions, especially Steelbooks - if you are familiar with those. My wife and I also collect small (<3") figures, statues, or trinkets from each new place we visit (no magnets, keychains or shot glasses). Kind of a fun way to remember our vacations.
