Hello, Can someone tell me the difference between experimental rinse coins & transitional coins? Would any of these coins shown be considered experimental rinse or transitional coins?

Also on some of the Lincoln pennies there are horns on his head would you know the meaning behind it if any? Thank you

I don't think cents are typically associated with an experimental rinse. I've only heard about that on Sacagawea dollars. 2013 has roller lines from a coin roller. 1972 D is just dirty. I don't see horns on his head. That's just part of the hair design. If you compare coins from various years, you'll notice that the obverse features are slightly different.

The horns you see are damaged areas, most likely from an automatic coin rolling machine.
Transitional coins happen when the coin is in transition from one design or composition to another, such as the 1942 Copper cents to the 1943 Steel cents, or the 1982 Copper cents to the 1983 Zinc cents. A transitional design example would be the wheat reverse of the 1958 cents to the Memorial reverse of the 1959 cents.

The horns you see are NOT horns .They are part of Lincolns curly hair . As far as an experimental rinse for a Lincoln Cent , I just don't think so !

Experimental rinse:

I have suspected that some years do have different rinses, notably because the carbon spots that plagued rolls of BU cents suddenly disappeared in 2013 or 2014.

At any rate, I don't think it would be possible to prove if a coin received a certain wash, especially if the Mint denies any change.

I agree nothing particularly special about the OP coins.

Yup, I agree with tbop that one curl at the top of his head has always reminded me of a 'horn' lol
