This is a 2000 State Quarter and a 1999 Jefferson nickel. I have had this put up for a while and thought that they were small Cuds... Well now that I am getting a little more educated I think they may be something completely different. Would love your input?

Here is another angle on the quarter... I'm no expert either or I wouldn't be here lol. But I would think that if this was PMD that it would be warped a little or a v shape at the location of inpact...?

Sometimes called bagmarks because coins knock together inside, bounce around in transport, dropped/banged into metal doors through cloth. Think how heavy these bags of 5000 would be, coins smashed together. All kinds of designs are made!

I looked that up as well :) But with this I do not see any hints of the reeds edge inside the small pit. I wish I could get a better pic, the pit almost looks square and is deep enough to insert the ball of a ball point pin. Also I failed to mention there is another pit almost identical about a quarter way around, that one is in the 2nd picture. I am heading to New Orleans in the morning and am going to stop at a trusted coin shop and have him put it under a microscope. I will report back with my findings. :)
Rest in Peace
