Hi it's me again,  so I have started to look at my Wheat Pennies.  I was wondering if this was D over S 1944 penny?  I'm sorry for the picture quality I will try to get a better picture with my Big digital camera later. But for sure I can see a diagonal line through the center of the D.  Just wanted to get your opinion.  Thanks. ANGIE

Looks like you may have a potential candidate for a variety 2 D over S.

Sorry, don't see it. Both FS-01 and 02 are quite prominent at this magnification.
Rest in Peace

No Angie, yours has no outside hook or inside D, it is a normal 44D. Bet what caught your eye was chip out of inside upper bar...that seems to be from master working mintmark punch, is consistent among other mm's.
