I got this piece on ebay maybe 10-12 years ago. It was the first Commemorative Love Token that I had seen. Looks great in hand too.

I think I came up with 4 letters, now that you mention it. The initials of the exposition, WCEC, look like they might be there: the two Cs back-to-back, the W is upside down, and the E rotated 90 degrees clockwise. Good catch!

Iowa commem. Total mintage 100,057 pieces, 57 of them reserved for assay. 1,000 pieces were also set aside, 500 of them to support the sesquicentennial in 1996 and the other 500 for the state's bicentennial in 2046. Here are two of the 500 from the sesquicentennial # 62 and 204.   Reverse

Those are great Iowa pieces. Any idea of where #1 is? Now in 2046 you will need to try to get matching numbers. :)
