hello everyone, ...found this 1944 s Wheat cent roll searching, looks gold or very very shiny. anyway I happen to hit it with a magnet & it stuck? also it looks like it was chipped? on the out side rim and there's what looks like silver under the layer? ....I'm clueless, any idea's on this one.....thanks in advance...

Possibly has some nickle plating on it as pure nickle is magnetic.

thanks mark,... it weights 3.3 gr. a steel planchet weights 2.7 no ? , when I say it sticks to a magnet it doesn't jump but it will hold it up.

Plated with a magnetic metal . If it was a zinc error it would not have that shiny plated look to it .
