Hi all, I'm curious if anyone can explain this on a couple of SLQs? It makes me want to eat hot dogs...

They were most likely stored in a coin folder for many years. Many old coin folders were assembled by coating the paper back with glue and adhering it to the cardboard grid which left glue stripes exposed in the coin hole. Once the coin was inserted into the folder, it was in direct contact with vertical glue stripes.

You could soak in pure acetone. Read up on this before you try it.

I should clarify that the stripes are not glue residue, it would be toning caused by direct exposure to the glue stripes.
