Is the rhodium plated coin "a mint first"?

Quote: Is the rhodium plated coin "a mint first"? I think - yes. Mint did yellow and pink gilding, Niobium, but never Rhodium neither Radium. From Wiki: "Rhodium is a chemical element with symbol Rh and atomic number 45. It is a rare, silvery-white, hard, and chemically inert transition metal. It is a member of the platinum group."Wow! Quote: -$20 Dogbane Beetle Murano Glass coin Murano Glass Creatures return! But we spent a lot of money on the Gold set, thinking, that only 5 coins will be minted... Thank you, MoneyPenney for update Are the 50cent rolls expected? I think, this item doesn't appear in the PO catalogs.

Quote: 2017 Circulation Set which includes all the new Canada 150th coins. Contains a GITD Twonnie and colored quarter. Sells for $26.95 Dunno if this is the same, but I received a new product alert today for "2017 My Canada, My Inspiration Collector Card" for $19.95. It just a collector card with the new designs, including the colour and GITD, circulation coins. Note: it's only 5 coins and doesn't include the non colour quarter or non GITD toonie. So we have a choice of sets with regular designs, new designs, and both....so far. What about the rumored silver dollar?

It's also interesting to note that there are at least three 'circulation' offerings so far yet none of them contain all of the circulation coins.

Looks like the RCM is going to milk this theme to the very end

Partially, because some Circulation Commemorative coins we will see during the year, closely to the date of the event they commemorating. But your idea is valid and clear - to have all denominations of the Originals and Anniversary together in the single set....

Not getting any of this stuff, maybe fill a few holes in a year or 2 when the novelty wears out.

Yes, they decreased it to 8500 mintage this year. Was 12,000 last year

8500 is still too high to really regain interest in the glass creature series.

@MoneyPenny: Thanks for all of the March release info. Quote: 1 oz Confederation of Canada Silver Dollar 1867-1967 with a Woman Statute on it Is the SD really a one-ounce coin vs. the standard 23.7 grams (~0.75 troy ounces)?

There is another set that is in the March catalog and is now available to MC members on the RCM website. It is called My Canada, My Inspiration Collector car and it contains all 5 2017 circulation coins. -5 cents -10 cents -25 cents colored -$1 -$2 GITD Its getting confusing with so many circulation and proof sets and its only three months into 2017.
