If you take to keep your future picture, let's say 600x600 pixels, then 2MP would be enough. If you want more in accordance with the resolution of your favorite desktop monitor, you need more megapixel camera. I think that you do not like photos without changing the size due to artefacts and blurred pixels in the initial frame, so you need at least twice the size of the original resolution to change it 1:2 for good looking. So if your like to work at full 1280x1024 screen you need 2560x2048 original images and it correspond to the 5MP camera. (2048x1536 = 3MP, 2560x1920 = 5MP) Then you can view the coin on full screen with good quality. Report this Post to the Staff

Also has products, check them out. Mine only cost $45 on Amazon. Was $5 for brass 5/8" tube extension. http://www.mustech.com/digital-microscope/ There's a whole bunch of different styles listed, interesting options.
