A terrible thing it is when the mind starts to go ! Fonteius AR denarius 85 BC Obv. EX A P Laureate head of Apollo Vejovis right Thunderbolt below chin Rv. Cupid seated on goat right caps of the Dioscuri each side All in laurel wreath. 3.33 grams 18-9mm Syd 726, Cr353/2. I have purposely put the reverse pic first ...... As there are several varieties I overlooked that detail. At least I stopped and corrected the "child seated on goat" ! Since when do children have wings ? BTW Bob L you should have seen the one that got away ! Griffin reverse. That was the "coolest" reverse I had ever seen on a Republican denarius.
