1883 Liberty V Nickel With Missing 'I' In Pluribus

karbruk New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 02/27/2017 7:41 pm Hello. This is my second post. While I was posting I thought I'd ask if anyone has ever seen this error on a Liberty V nickel. The coin is in fine condition except that the 'I' in pluribus on the reverse seems to be missing. It's actually there but it's so light it can hardly be seen. It's not wear as the letters around it are sharp. I was wondering if this has ever been seen before. moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 02/27/2017 8:20 pm Appears to be a partial Grease Fill in that area. They really had a tough time minting this nickel material. Errors with Grease Fill and die cracks are common on almost all of the early nickel compositions. Report this Post to the Staff
