Coindog Pillar of the Community United States 917 Posts	Posted 02/28/2017 5:48 pm I've been looking for a flying eagle for my 7070 and wanted one with a wrong strike on the breast feathers is it difficult to find one? I've settled on an AU that I like but have limited experience with the series. Do you think this 1858 flying eagle cent is a decent coin? What about the price? Toning is better that dipped, which might not be stable, or cleaned that might not be gradeable or stable. Report this Post to the Staff

Tbone Pillar of the Community United States 1839 Posts	Posted 03/02/2017 6:57 pm The thing I find most difficult to find is one with a reverse with a good strike. If you can find an AU with even toning and both a solid obverse and reverse strike I'd pounce. Assuming the price isn't way out of line. I had an AU55 a few years back that was just a gem.
