I was searching through my Lincoln cents today and pulling out the better condition ones when I happened to find this guy. It appears to be stuck though wire, but I'm not 100% sure. It has some environmental damage unfortunately so I'm giving it a bath in olive oil and then acetone to try and help.

What do you guys think?

Note how you can see it on the rim and maybe a little on the obverse itself

It was already in the olive oil before I decided to take photos, sorry about that. Looking forward to seeing your responses

PMD gouge is all. Might have been run over on floor sitting on a piece of wire which imbedded then was turned over to be imbedded again before being rescued!

Look forward to the after images so here we go.

This happened sometime ago. To say if it happened at time of strike or after is hampered by the amount of circulation I'm seeing.

Any identifiable ridges are worn away now. But I'm still intrigued by the wrap around or impression through the rim and edge as currently seen. Thanks, Doug.
