Need A Recommendation For Pic Capture Software

I'm using an HD 8 Megapixel IMX179 USB Camera with a 4x objective to get in close on coin details. I'm trying to use AMcap to get decent pics, but it is not cooperating.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for an aftermarket capture software that will take good capture pics with this camera that will allow white balance, pic size, et al to be set before capture?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

I did it already before. White balance and much more. It's called MyCam.
Don't know why you need size less than original 8MP. You can resize it any time.
