I'm not seeing hub doubling on this coin. The wider areas on the tops of the devices look more like contact marks.

I second checked this one and it is 1983 1c FS-102

Seeing them side by side helped me to see what was going on with this coin better, than staring at separate images:

Here are the FS-101,102,103 side by side:

This year is tricky, so I learned to double check before commenting.....

Nice find.

I am seeing a clear notch in the R of TRUST, a distortion of much of LIBERTY (similar to class 6 doubling on many wheat cents) and a club-shaped tail of the 3 along with distension of the lower right of the 8

Thank you Coop! That is it. After looking over your post I went back to the VarietyVista photo page for stage-D FS-102. It took some lighting adjustments, but I was able to photograph the light die scratch between the 8 and the 3 of the date for further verification on this one. And the die cracks on the reverse aren't there because it notes and shows that the reverse die was changed before stage-D. It all comes together.

Thanks so much to all who have helped me out on these difficult identifications.

That what we do. I check back to see what my decision was and if it needs checked out further, I do it. I guess sometimes I double check my self. The important thing is to get it right.
