Looks to be some PMD as a spot on the rim is flattened but is there anything else going on here? Thanks.

Thanks Crazyb0. I just noticed this on the edge. May give better insight into what happened.

I wouldn't discard it just yet. From the obverse it looks like a rim hit. The reverse is a lot more interesting to me. I'll wait for more experienced members to chime in.

It looks like PMD to me too, but I would not get rid of it at all. It is very interesting even if it is not a mint error. It only costs a penny to keep. Definitely interested to see what others have to say.

I'm curious because the obverse and reverse pics look like different coins to me. They're not but, it tells me that there may be some mint error involved.

I'm going with PSD/PMD Somehow the devices in American were pressed back into the planchet separating the top portion of America. The edge looks like it was compressed some how. Hydraulic press maybe. It looks pretty neat but not an error IMHO In my humble opinion

To me it looks altered. But how? I don't know. It may have had the rim flatten on the edge a bit. Again I'm not sure how it was done. If it were a mint error, I wouldn't expect to see the metal roll over the edge. PSD (I would still save it as it is a copper cent)
