panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18689 Posts	Posted 03/08/2017 1:33 pm after taking a second look closer at this coin you can see the obverse scratches under the toning which could be from an old cleaning but also could be from just contact with other coins, however, if you look closely at the ones in front of the bust they are long and curve completely around the face. normal contact with other coins would not result in these types of fine scratches and since they are on the field I would expect to see similar contact scratches on more prominent devices like the cap and crown which are not present. the coin would probably grade with the a details designation. Mainly because the coin I received had no luster, unlike the pictures. Well, this will be going back. Pictures below with a reprisal of the old ones for easy comparison. Thanks to all for your input!
