Here's a test of your record keeping skills.

Does anyone know the issue price of the 12 coin set including the box?

Charlton Vol II shows 19.95 each coin or 59.95 for each of the years 4 coin offering, but I can't find the issue price of the complete set of 12. Anyone?

To jog your memory, this is the packaging:

I'll just add, these are some really nice coins. Decent designs, well struck and exceptional quality with limited frosting. Makes me pine for the good old days of Q/A at the Mint.

you can't find a price for all 12 coins, because you couldn't buy them all at one time, only singles, or 4 pack sets..

my book says single coins issued in lithographed metal box, then it says Set: twelve coin metal container..but it only shows prices for singles, and 4 coin sets..weird..

Was it possibly a subscription set? these days if you sign up for all twelve coins or whatever, they usually throw in a box for free. Possible that is what it was? Though Charlton usually notes those sort of things.

More weird, the 12 set container is not metal. It's thick paper/cardboard.

Which 'book' says it's metal?

Thanks silverwolf. I missed that in Charlton.

Unless someone knows of an example of a metal container for the set, I'm assuming it's an error or at least misleading. The box I have and all others I have seen are not metal.

Of course each individual coin is in a metal container, but not the whole set.
