Sorted through 1000 coins yesterday and found this 2006 5 cent with a big die crack. Only one of the many 2006 coins had it.

Anyone seen anything like this on a 2006 5c?

that's a very good pic: which camera did you use, please ?
Very hard to spot a die crack against that background: you did well to find it.

OK. Some interesting stats, all reverse die cracks.

2006 x 8 all roughly similar to the one above
2006 x 1 - 3 die cracks (2 that join into a 'V')
2005 x 1 roughly similar to the one above
2004 x 1 roughly similar to the one above
2004 x 1 diff position, approx in line with right nostril of snout
2003 x 2 roughly similar to the one above
2002 x 4 roughly similar to the one above
2001 x 7 roughly similar to the one above
2001 x 2 diff position, approx in line with right nostril of snout
2000 x 3 diff position, angled from the left foot to the 5 & on to rim

Many others that only go from the bottom of the 5 to the rim.

Thanks Nancy, I didn't realise there were so many.

Peter, camera is a Fuji S5600 5.5mp with Sigma screw-on achromatic macro lens. I think this model is discontinued now but it was only in the $200-$300 range. Beats any of my old film SLR's anyway.

G'day, and thankyou for that.
I'm still very new to digital photography.
I hope, eventually, to be able to produce pics like that.
