I found this dollar from several other Ike dollars all 1972 D. It has lots of luster when you turn it. And it weighs 22.2 g. It just caught my eye for being ugly.The more I looked at it the more I thought it might be a wrong planchet. But I don't know. I am just a old man trying to learn .

It looks like it has some circulation damage and was either in a fire or buried for a while.

They used Ike's for slot machine feeders in Vegas and Biloxi. Bet that one paid its dues!

Thanks , I don't know much but like I said it was so ugly that it looked so strange it might be a different kind of strange but what gets me is that it's so shiny . Of course not on the pictures but in real life. I am looking at it right now. Thanks Nickel Guy. Glad to meet all of you.

I think it was put in a vice (notice the opposing flat spots on the rim) and heated with a torch.
