I've heard of states being stamped as a commemorative of agates being recognized. I do believe this is done after the mint. This is a 1974 Lincoln Cent with Florida stamped on it.
Wow, now that's a nice looking circulation find. I guess they were sold as commemoratives like some of those 1980's halves. Commemorating the states I guess.
Coin master, seen 'em in 50 state sets, 13 original states set and have seen a Midwestern states set, so imagine other regions have theirs. I have six different state ones myself, 5 from CRH, my home state just HAD to buy!
