Recently got this MS68 1982 LG date Lincoln and it has a very slight misaligned die error on the obverse. Not to excessive would this add to the value at all? Or is it not far enough misaligned that NGC didn't label it that way? I know they are common just curious... Edited by Tdh7 03/09/2017 5:13 pm

Pic is kinda poor, are you sure that's a MS68 by NGC? It is not off enough to be a MAD. Also,I think you have to ask the TPG's for a variety attribution and pay extra. John1

I'm sure it will be considered as a MAD as a raw coin in hand but not major enough for a TPG to classify it as such on their holder.

It's barely misaligned and that does not add to the value of the coin at all.
Like John1 posted, you have to request and pay extra for variety and error labels. I don't think this coin would have gotten MAD on the label.
The ones that are worth some extra premium are missing some of the devices.

Makes since, I was getting mixed answers via Google. It's going to stay just how it is. Thanks!

Is this an example of the grade wars betwixt NGC & PCGS? Find it hard to believe a business strike at 68...

it's misaligned, but it's also fairly common.

The picture doesn't do it justice, it's a solid 68. There's lint and other things going on with the holder. Wasn't trying to show its grade.

How about a pic of the whole holder? John1

I was surprised to see so many 1982 PCGS/NGC MS68 Zincolns on ebay - I guess they are common but really, to pay that much for a commom date slab? Now there's a "Buy the coin, NOT the holder" statement.
