When I was a very large newb in coin collecting, where I "collected" a "pretty" coin if I saw it, my Uncle (no name for privacy reasons) gave me a Old-PCGS green label Proof69dcam 1963 half dollar. No pictures at the moment, but what would you guess to be the value?

I found one on the bay that sold for $414 but it's a newer slab and not DCAM.

Edit: That's an awesomely generous gift!

The DCAM proof is $6750 on PCGS. $500 is for the regular one.

Yeah, a big difference between regular, CAM and DCAM.

I really would like to see pics.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you receive this gift of gifts?

A super high end proof Kennedy. Congratulations.

Muddler - love your Franklin but those plastic scratches to left of bust would drive me buggy. Fill them if you have the juice, or tell me you did so I can sleep tonight.

And a very rare variety for a Kennedy (1963). They're usually dated 1964-up.

Ok, so it turns out I was wrong about two things.
It is not an old green label as I thought.
It is 1962 not 1963.

Maybe time to crack it out and resubmit?

If it graded that then it looks like it would be better than a '63.
