When I was a very large newb in coin collecting, where I "collected" a "pretty" coin if I saw it, my Uncle (no name for privacy reasons) gave me a Old-PCGS green label Proof69dcam 1963 half dollar. No pictures at the moment, but what would you guess to be the value?

I found one on the bay that sold for $414 but it's a newer slab and not DCAM. Edit: That's an awesomely generous gift!

The DCAM proof is $6750 on PCGS. $500 is for the regular one.

Yeah, a big difference between regular, CAM and DCAM. I really would like to see pics. If you don't mind me asking, when did you receive this gift of gifts?

Now this would be a coin to see! My highest graded Franklin half is a proof 67 ultra cam.

A super high end proof Kennedy. Congratulations.
Muddler - love your Franklin but those plastic scratches to left of bust would drive me buggy. Fill them if you have the juice, or tell me you did so I can sleep tonight.

Quote: A super high end proof Kennedy. Congratulations. And a very rare variety for a Kennedy (1963). They're usually dated 1964-up.

Ok, so it turns out I was wrong about two things. It is not an old green label as I thought. It is 1962 not 1963.

Maybe time to crack it out and resubmit?
If it graded that then it looks like it would be better than a '63.
