It looks like a far to me.

With the near variety, both of the two upper leaf tips are close to the rim, not just the one.

It's near.
Note the wide rims.
The best secondary marker is the 9 in the date which you have cut off in all your pics.
Note how far the tail of the 9 is from the denticle on NiNGCumpoop's coin, on the Near variety it will darn near touch the denticle.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
