I would say VF-20. I can't help with the variety, the experts will come along.

I would say vf-25 for a grade and N-13. The reason I believe its an N-13 and not N-25 is the line coming from dentils between date and star thirteen.

I'll go VF30 on eye appeal. See so many of these beat up and nicked.

I don't think this is the R6 N25 variety. The primary diagnostic is that the C and E in CENTS is joined via a die break. On this example, the two letters are joined, but it doesn't appear it is from a die break. They are joined due to the way the letters were cut in the die.
Also the ear is cut differently from known N25 specimens.

Agree that it is likely the R3 N13. The line cutting across the 1 in the date is visible. Intetesting that other examples wxhibit that line on both sides of the number but this one only shows it only on the left side. Price it sold at seems consistent with what an N13 in that grade would sell for.

Thanks Student. I really wasn't sure and thus couldn't pull the trigger. If it was the N25 I would have been more comfortable then at that price. Of course it may have gone even higher.

N-25 in EAC graded F-12 is listed at $800 in CQR. N-13 is listed at $30 in F-12. Even at VF-20 EAC grade the N-13 is $60. $82 was steep price for the coin listed. Would have definitely went for much higher if it was N-25, N-23 or N-26 which is listed at $500 in F-15 and N-23 which is listed at $350 in F-15.

A very nice eac vf30, and at the same time, Sheldon au58 N13 sold for $184. That one was nicer than the one in this thread.
The grades given on this thread for this coin were Sheldon grades,the scale which most people are familiar with. Eac grades are much more conservative.

very true about grading standards between EAC and 3rd party numbers. Thats why I put F grade #'s in my quote from CQR. Thats what net grade I felt the OP's coin was.
