Here I have an old inscription coin that I discovered in a selection of coins that my grandfather gave me, I'm posting these images in the hope that somebody will be able to give me some information as to what it Is.

I think it's a love token of some sort. The Arabic looks carved or punched into a well-worn coin that was dunked in something very corrosive to smooth it out. I'll defer to someone who can actually read Arabic to decipher that part.

On the second image, I think I can see the iconic "oil lamp" calligraphy used on Ottoman coins mostly in the 1700s and 1800s.

I agree, does appear to be an Arabic love token, very interesting piece, would love to see what the inscription translates to

Thank you very much for the replies, sorry for the late response I was waiting for an email to tell me is had a comment but never received one.

I'll find someone who can translate the inscription and will let you know on my findings

It is a Persian word,can not make out one of the words,but this is the right way which is written.there are two words ,one means :intention ,the other I need to research.
