Not the remotest idea on ancients, but I'd be quite surprised if they were coins.

I don't know either. I've seen more than a fair share of trade tokens, from around the world. I've never seen any that used roman numerals though...

Medals, all appear to be old farm implements, a scythe, a hay wagon, an old wule/horse plow. Old farm competitions, maybe a series of year attendance or placement awards?

Sorry, I got distracted when I made the original post. They're all the sizes of coins, with the largest being a little larger than a US quarter. They're thinner than a dime, too.

Looks more like it is a form of money now that I see different size pieces. Tried searching "Mormon" and "Mennonite" coins but got nothing. Was thinking farm community exchange tokens, possibly not USA? But what?
Are they a "good fer", one plow, fix a broke wheel, so many pounds of wheat?

Consider this as a possibility, private issue colonials?

The collection this is from does have forty or fifty colonials, from the 1700's and late 1600's. So it could be reasonable that these could be along those lines...

Ask the Moderator to move this to the classic US coins forum for better ID, these aren't ancients but early coppers of some sort, private issue maybe or someplace like PA, I thought of the Pennsylvavia Dutch area of western PA

The collection also has numerous items from China, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, and a host of other countries. For instance, http://goccf.com/t/283583

More guessing here. From the strike and designs and even the color of the copper I would GUESS late 1700s counters. England or European. When was that type of plow developed and in common use?
