I found a confederate note that looks exactly like this : http://cgi.ebay.com/1861-5-CONFEDER...cmdZViewItem However, in the lower right corner it had a V instead and around the bottom ant top edge in the green border it says FIVE FIVE FIVE....all along the top and bottom. I can't find an example of this design for the 5 dollar note dated Richmond Sept. 2nd 1861 The number at the top says 8644 Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

Dillon Valued Member United States 240 Posts	Posted 04/05/2008 10:31 pm can you give a picture of the note? check the signature, Almost all of the signatures were usually in brown, red, or blue ink.
