This doesn't count as I haven't spent it, but yesterday I guided some American cruise ship passengers around Leeds Castle and one of them tipped me with a 2013 $2 bill. In 30 years of tour guiding that's the third $2 bill I've had as a tip!

As I noted on my half dollar 100K challenge post this morning, I have been in challenging times here on the farm like most farmers. The vegetable farming business and my farm have been hit with so many challenges the last few years. Higher costs, labor shortages, weather issues, seed and supplies shortages, difficulties in getting parts and supplies, Tariff threats and actual tariffs interrupting supply chains and making even domestically produced supplies more expensive and consolidation of produce handlers all have been big issues. The prices we receive have not however been increasing much.
But, I continue handing out $2 bills at a vigorous pace as change. Since my last post on 16 January 2018, I have handed out $47,672 in $2 bills, with my last week usage of $2 bills being $614 for farmers market change and bill paying. At one of Saturday's farmers markets I received back $14 of $2 bills which then also went back out as change before the end of the market. The bills continue to circulate. As always a tiny handful of people prefer not to get $2 bills or half dollars in change but the vast majority love it....

Spent $4 last week. One for part of a tip and the other for coffee. The cashier looked at it with a puzzled look. Must of have been the first time she'd ever seen a two dollar bill.
