I know this coin is in very rough shape,But the two areas in question are pretty cool! it also appears there might be some flaking going on. Thanks for looking and all advice is greatly appreciated!

The E is PMD, see how the hit goes over the letter both sides? Not seeing anything else. What and where? Looks like a beat up, circ wear nickel, no strike-throughs...

It looks like to me a ghost image is there on the 'E', making me feel this is a lamination/struck through debris issue. The die is showing some chips near the rim on the EPU area. The area near the building is looking like a struck through debris. One has peeled (the lower arrow), the other one looks retained yet. (note the rim area above the lower arrow) If these were PSD then the areas underneath those areas would not show the ghost image, just the shape of what damaged it.

CrazyB0; The area around the E is one of the possible strike throughs. If it was PMD the vertical part of the E would not exist. The second one is the lower West side of the building. Same thing here if this was PMD that corner of the building would also be gone.
Coop; That is what I was thinking.
I do thank you both for you thoughts!

As usual Coop nails it again. Last pic. above top left of the building you can see lamin lines that go the same direction as the lines in the E

Just north of the west side of the building is cracks ( lack of better terminology) is that the beginning of flaking? Also I just noticed the bottom east side of the S is missing. Is that PSD or would that also have occurred at the mint?

On the obverse, on the right side of the rim, two locations seems to have bumps.Do these sit opposited the suspected strike through spots?
These suggest to me that it was PMD.

Dennman; There are no bumps on the obverse. At least in those areas. I think it just might be the lighting. But wouldn't that suggest mint damage?
