The holder that this token was in was quite old, and had this written on it:
BN 980
WE9
$275

After spending some time in Google, I could not find this obverse with this reverse.

Anyone have any ideas about this token, and its value?

Thanks!

This is a rare token.

Charlton identifies this as WE-9.
Breton identifies this as Br 980.

The listed price is reasonable.

Doug, is it because, it doesn't have a date?, I see WE-7 doesn't have a date also.?

The WE-7 is dated 1813.

Yup, I see it has...lol..
So, I presume the other is 'rare' because of no date?

Many of this series exhibit no date and they are common.
What makes this variety rare is the scarcity of this particular
marriage.

As for the tall trees...This variety is common. The rare variety is
the tall trees, dated 1842.

Post good photos of the obverse and reverse and I was endeavor to ascertain
the specific Dr. Courteau variety.
