Found this coin in a bag of wheat pennies I purchased from an estate sale. Not sure if it is U.S. or foreign. The only thing that I could make out was the words "UNION" and "CONS"

Whatever you do, don't toss it! Possibly early Colonial or State issued in late 1780's. Think Articles of Confederation. No expert here, not even close in Red Books list of colonials, so looking elsewhere.

Just to the right of hole on front(?) Bust side are "ELD SCOT" Think this is ref to Sir Winfield Scott?

That eagle looks a bit later than colonial -- perhaps the 1800s.

Does it say Dred Scott on the obverse?

Nevermind, found it. Its a Winfield Scott campaign token.
