Misleading auction..says clash but is die crack and it is listed as "2 - 1952 P WHEAT OBVERSE DIE CLASH ERROR BETWEEN WE" but in description says.. "2 - 1952 P Wheat penny ERRORS WINNING BIDDER GETS ONE OF THE COINS" So seller has it listed as 2 but looks like buyer only gets one of them.

My apologies th the forum Dad. I did not think of that reference as offensive as that is what I have heard that die crack refered to as for some years now.

I agree with the fact that it's a crack and not a clash, but this crack is quite severe, and should be netting some premium - $5 or so, not $25.
I would like to see how far the crack goes - if all the way to the other rim, it's a split die which could net far more.

Hi chuck I believe thea what he has is the same or similar to these two. The crack runs into the forehead and then runs leftward down to the top of the ear. Image: 52crack1.jpg30.15 KB Image: 52crack2.jpg30.32 KB Richard

The only "ckash" here is in the opinion of the seller, and the opinions of the viewers. The photo shows a severe die crack, also known as a "speared-hed". There are also "speared building, etc. Dick

I'm wondering why he can give a great close-up shot of the effected area, but yet he can't give us a descent shot of the whole coin? Anybody else wondering why one of the coins is hiding the other?

E-buyer beware. He has an %100 rating from many dealers and experienced e-buyers. I'm curious to know what you "reported." That he's mistaken? That he's misleading?
It's a timeless, "Buy It Now" -- affording anyone an opportunity to do some research, including asking him/her questions. If he/she doesn't respond or answer satisfactorily, I wouldnt buy.
There are some things about which I dont have to ask questions...like, I have no questions of that guy that's selling the power drill and extensions to till dirt. Then there are a multitude of things I dont know...that's when I ask questions, do research, and read the fine print.
For example: the ad clearly states I'm buying one coin....the refund policy is 3 days...the conditions about refunds are restricted to PCGS pre-certified coins only. So, I ask, "Is this coin PCGS pre-certified?" Obviously not. I know I cant return it...I "bought it now."

The ad clearly labels the coin as a rare die clash. there is no die clash present. There is present a die crack which is more common and worth less. you find out that you are bidding on one coin in the detail description. in the header and the initial description box it refers to multiple coins. This is exactly the same thing that he reported the poster on the other forum for, saying that it waqs excessively missleading. The man claims to have 35 years experience as a coin dealer but doesn't know the difference between a die clash and a die crack? I think not.
