Bought this a while ago. In an old white ANACS holder. Not sure what the Breen 3095 variety is. Everything I see with that designation has to do with a proof coin and this supposedly is not. thanks. Also any thoughts on grade.

Breen 3095 refers to a repunched date on the 1 5 and 9 and it does not refer to the proofs, I believe 3094 does. Your images are good enough for me to see the repunching on the 1 and 9.

Conder101: are you the one that told me that the 1859 Half Dime is a one year sub type of that series?

I have one of these that members have suggested is a circulated proof (I know there's a term for that but it eludes me at the moment). It looks different that this one.

Nice coin!

It is a one year subtype, but a minor one. They made a change to the stars and they all have holes in their centers. On the 1838 to 1858 coins the stars are all made up of six diamond shapes with the points coming together in the center. On the 1859 all the diamonds have their inner points truncated leaving a hole in the center of each star.
