I've been collecting coins for a while and I've just started looking for error coins. Haven't had a find yet, but, I'll keep looking. You guys have been great. This dime has divots on the obverse and the reverse has several oddities. I'm not expecting great things and the pics are as good as I can get at this point. So, what I'm wondering is if this dime is a mint damaged or a parking lot dime. Thanks

Corrosion of some sort.

It may have been buried in a crop field where chemicals have been applied or in some other corrosive environment.

Speaking from recent personal experience?

The dime is definitely not a mint-made error. It was corroded either intentionally or by the elements. I was thinking it had been buried for a while.

Hey Spruett, here's TMI...when I was six, swallowed a nickel. Dr.'s made mother use those plastic swizzle sticks to go through the poop until I passed it. Guess my body's worth 5 cents more than yours is, never did find it!
