I work at a convenience store and we received a bunch of Grizzly Snuff tins. A woman wanted only the chew and not the tins. I instantly thought of what I could use them for. So, for now on this will be the backdrop for the pictures I will be posting.

In case you're interested, the tins were promos sold for $1.29. So even if you're not interested in the chew, it wouldn't cost much to snag one yourself.

That might work, but you will have to adjust white balance or lighting in some way, or your pictures will be pink-tinged and not reflect the actual appearance of your coins. I've found a black background or a white background work best for my coin photography. YMMV.

Very creative idea !!...
I've thrown away so many similar "tins" through the years.....I kept them for awhile, because they were "neat", but then it just ended up being crap that I never utilized and they took up too much space, so I pitched them !
I do have a cedar jewewlry box that I got from Mammoth Cave Kentucky years back........but I'm sure it would provide some "toning" to different coins.....so I have yet to put anything in there "coin wise".........I've never purposely toned a coin !!
What coin ideas would anyone have for putting something in this cedar box ?.....or should I not ?....

Wonder how the photos would look if you left the snuff in.

I think it would be neat just to be able to distinguish your images easier because of the background. It also seems to be a little safer place to hold it for a picture because it would be harder to drop the entire tin rather than just a coin.
